Honours course with creative component: 

The English Honours program includes a creative writing unit (not offered every year), and the option of a creative writing topic for the Honours Research Project. The University's Cultural Environment and Heritage program provides for a limited number of creative writing placements in Tasmanian cultural institutions.

Postgraduate courses: 

The Master of Arts (English) can be undertaken with a creative writing topic.

Undergraduate degree with subjects in creative writing: 

The School of English, Journalism and European Languages offers creative writing units at undergraduate level as part of a Bachelor of Arts. These units include Writing Short Fiction and Writing Tasmania.
