This month's highlights: Launch of the 2008 AAWP anthology, Re-Placement, through Southern Cross University. A successful annual AAWP conference organised by John Dale and team at UTS. 2009 Fourteenth Annual Conference ‘Margins and Mainstreams’ on 26-28 November at the Waikato Institute of Technology, Hamilton, NZ, with Gail Pittaway and team. Nicholas Jose is to go to Harvard for Australian Studies. Frank Moorhouse is the inaugural Copyright Agency Limited Writer in Residence at UTS. Marion Campbell, Glenda Guest, Belle Paterson and Julienne van Loon are among those with new books. The Creative Writing Program at the University of Adelaide is the host institution for the Asia-Pacific Writing Partnership (APWP).
